ProSTEM also collaborates with governments and hospitals for stem cells, cells, and their metabolite development.

Andi Wijaya, Ph.D

ProSTEM is initiated by Andi Wijaya, Ph.D., who also serves as the President Commissioner of PT. Prodia Widya Husada, Tbk. With a mission to advance regenerative medicine in Indonesia, he has established PT. Prodia StemCell Indonesia as an expansion of PT. Prodia Widyahusada, Tbk, which specializes in the storage, processing, research, and development in the field.

Andi Wijaya, Ph.D. is a scientist in clinical chemistry who has a fairly long academic profile in the history of his work. He has taught at various state universities in Indonesia. such as the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Padjadjaran University (UNPAD), and has served as Head of the Postgraduate Clinical Chemistry/Biomedicine Study Program at Hassanuddin University.

Many achievements have been made in the fields of academic research and business. He received awards as a Fellow from the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry (FACB), The National Academy of Atherosclerosis Thrombosis and Vascular Biology (FATVB), New York Academy of Science (FNAS), American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC), Clinical Laboratory Management Association (CLMA), Golden Academy Award from the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry, Gold Record of Achievement in Science from NCCCA (USA), and Ganesa Widya Jasa Utama from ITB. He is also active as a member of stem cell associations such as the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) and the International Society for Cell Therapy (ISCT).

Because of his extensive knowledge of stem cells and molecular biology, Andi Wijaya is often invited as a resource person or speaker at scientific seminars held in Indonesia. He has also been a promoter of several researchers conducting stem cell research since 2000 and is currently actively teaching at the postgraduate program at Hasanuddin University.

Dr. Cynthia R. Sartika, M.Si

Director

ProSTEM is led by Dr. Cynthia Retna Sartika, M.Si, who serves as the Director. She possesses a strong academic background in research. Her expertise in the field of research, particularly in stem cells, is unquestionable. She completed her bachelor's degree (S-1) in Biology at Universitas Padjajaran, then pursued her master's degree (S-2) in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in Clinical Chemistry at Universitas Hasanuddin. She also obtained her doctoral degree (S-3) from the same university's Faculty of Medicine, graduating with honors (Cum Laude), and was recognized as the best PhD student of the 2006 cohort in the PhD program at Universitas Hasanuddin.

Prof. Dr. Aw Tar-Choon is an expert in medicine and clinical chemistry. He completed his medical education at the University of Malaya Medical School, followed by master at Harvard-NUS focusing on public policy. He brought his great attention to the world of regenerative medicine to jointly build the ProSTEM laboratory to become a leading cell-based therapy development laboratory.

Prof. Dr. Aw Tar-Choon is an expert in medicine and clinical chemistry. He completed his medical education at the University of Malaya Medical School, followed by master at Harvard-NUS focusing on public policy. He brought his great attention to the world of regenerative medicine to jointly build the ProSTEM laboratory to become a leading cell-based therapy development laboratory.

Currently, Aw Tar-Choon serves as Medical Director at ICON Central Laboratories, Inc. and specialist doctor at Raffles Hospital & Senior Consultant in Laboratory Medicine at Changi General Hospital Singapore. Apart from his busy schedule, Aw Tar-Choon is also active in teaching at various leading universities, such as Monash University School of Medicine and National University of Singapore (NUS) Medical School. Some of the professional qualifications he has achieved include Board Certification in Internal Medicine from NUS and The Royal College of Physicians (UK), Sub-speciality Board Certification in Chemical Pathology from the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, member of the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh, Ireland), and The Academy of Medicine Singapore, the Executive Board of several world scientific institutions such as the Singapore Association of Clinical Biochemists, the Singapore Society of Pathology, and The Endocrine & Metabolic Society of Singapore.

Aw Tar-Choon is active as a expert and speaker at various scientific events in more than 21 countries to talk about topics on clinical chemistry, endocrinology, health policy, regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, and stem cells. To date, he has written more than 300 abstracts and 117 professional articles, including 12 books/book chapters on clinical chemistry, endocrinology and health policy.

Dr. dr. Dewi Wulandari, Sp.PK(K), M.Sc.

Doctor in Charge

Dr. dr. Dewi Wulandari, Sp.PK, M.Sc is take in charge of quality laboratorium in ProSTEM. She completed her general practitioner & clinical pathology specialist at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia, followed by Master's degree at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, majoring in Oncology.
